WHAT…. is required to get your license
You’ll have to take a “Landscape Irrigator Licensing Course” that is approved by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) in order to sit for the Licensing Exam. Then, to renew your license every 3 years, you will be required to earn 24 hours (CEU’s) continuing education courses approved by the TCEQ.

WHEN…. to start the process
Now! Take the Licensing Course first. Then, submit online application for the Licensed Irrigator Exam or the Irrigation Technician Exam. www.tceq.texas.gov/licensing/eapp fill out the online application completely and accurately including criminal background check and include credit card payment of $111.
The process takes 1 week in class to prepare for the exam, plus 3 to 4 weeks to get approved to sit for the exam
